Self-leveling Fassa SM485 for thicknesses from 3 to 30 mm for internal floors sold in 25kg bags.
Self-leveling Fassa SM485 it is a dry premix composed of special hydraulic binders with rapid setting and hydration and selected sands.
USE
SM 485 is used for levelling irregular cement-based substrates or old ceramic floors indoors, with application thicknesses from 3 to 30 mm, when a short drying time is required to allow for subsequent rapid laying of the floors. The laying of the floors is only possible after complete drying; the time required depends on the thickness, the quantity of water in the mix and the thermo-hygrometric conditions (from a few days to a few weeks). It is recommended to measure with a carbide hygrometer before laying the covering.
PROCESSING
Pour and simultaneously mix a 25 kg bag of SM485 in approximately 4.5-5 litres of clean water and mix with a mechanical stirrer or a slow speed machine until a smooth lump-free mixture is obtained. Larger quantities of SM 485 can be mixed in common mortar mixers. SM 485 can also be applied with a pump. Do not attempt to restore lost workability by adding more water to the mixture. Wait 2 minutes before applying and then stir the mixture. SM 485 is easily spread in a single coat in thicknesses from 3 to 30 mm with a metal spatula or squeegee. Due to its high self-levelling qualities SM 485 leaves no imperfections. Since it is a rapid product, laying wooden floors, ceramics, etc. can be carried out shortly after application (from 1 to 3 days depending on the thickness and temperature): it is however necessary to lay the floors only after having checked that they are actually dry with a carbide hygrometer.
